Bizzarrini P538Probably one of the most expensive Lamborghini models in existence are these P538, in fact this is a car that wasn’t built at the Lamborghini factory but by one of the people who were there in the very early days, Mr. Giotto Bizzarrini himself. The latter designed the engine for the 350 GTV, and detuned it afterwards to fit the 350 GT needs of a quiet Gran Turismo. After that, Giotto Bizzarrini worked with Renzo Rivolta on his ‘Iso’, but later decided to build a race car, this became the P538.

Lamborhini Countach CVX

Countach QVXNo Lamborghini had ever officially raced under their name, several private parties had entered Lamborghini’s in races, but never with any success though.

In 1985, David Jolliffe, the Lamborghini importer in Britain, which was Portman, decided to use a modified Countach LP5000S for racing in Group B, but the Countach wasn’t built in sufficient numbers to allow its entry in the suitable Groups.

1976 Lamborghini Silhouette

1976 Lamborghini SilhouetteThe Silhouette was first introduced to the public at the 1976 Geneva Auto Show. The Silhouette was chosen in honor of the FIA Group 5 regulations. Internally, the Silhouette was codenamed the P118.  The vehicle was a replacement for the disappointing Urraco super-car, which had been intended to be a high volume, mass produced, and economically prosperous vehicle. Unfortunately, due to development and reputation problems, among other problems, the vehicle had actually moved the Lamborghini marquee to the brink of financial disaster.

2007 Gallardo Nera
