Is Volkswagen about to get rid of some supercars from its stable? It could be the case, if statements by Porsche boss/VW supervisory board member, Wendelin Wiedeking, are taken seriously. When asked about the future Bugatti and Lamborghini within the Volkswagen Group, Wiedeking is quoted as saying “no toys anymore.”
Most people at first glance will have no idea what type of vehicle this is. This is in fact a Lamborghini, but unlike the specialties that came from Sant’Agata, this one boasts from Argentina.
The Alar is based on the older V12 Diablo design, but under a special licensing agreement with Lamborghini, the official distributor for the supercars in South America is allowed to create its own line of models using the Lambo badge and running gear.
Lamborghini of Orange County (LOC), which accounted for 15% of Lamborghini sales in the U.S. last year, has a little problem. While the rest of the automotive world was looking to Geneva and New York to see the new Superleggera, LOC had one of its own to display. Well, for one night at least.
Many folks wildly believe that various Ferrari and Lamborghini branded laptops are scams and are a nice way to blow a few extra hundies on a machine you could’ve gotten for less without the association to Italy’s finest automakers. They can think that, but there are people who have had hands on time with both types of laptops and have been nothing but impressed with their build quality, performance and, yes, even that incredible price.
