Lamborghini Breaks 171mph Speed Record

Lamborghini RacingIf you are going to test your Lamborghini to see how fast it can go we recommend that you do it on a deserted road where no one is likely to drive anywhere near. After all you don’t want to run into someone or get caught by the police. The owner of this Lamborghini didn’t have the sense to drive safely – but concentrated on beating out the record top speed of 171 mph by going 220 mph on a 65 mph road.

First we have to say that we are impressed with the car (not the driver) and happy to see a Lamborghini push itself that far. For the driver all we can say was, ‘what were you thinking?’ Apparently the driver had posted a video of himself and the car breaking the speed record on YouTube – but it was removed after the police began to investigate the incident to find the culprit.

Between this young man and the race against the fighter jet last week we are wondering if people will ever be satisfied and will ever know how fast a Lamborghini can really travel. Perhaps the young man should leave the speed testing to the racing professionals.
