Sometimes the best designs are the ones that are created by people that are not as experienced as the professionals. Luca Serafini – a student – has a mind for creating concepts that are both unique and appealing to us.
The Lamborghini Embolado Concept is one of his best concept designs and is no less appealing than the Ferrar Dino concept that he worked on a few months ago.Serafini dubbed it the Embolado because of its meaning – “bull in balls,” which apparently has something to do with sticking flaming balls on the end of bulls’ horns and letting them run wild in the streets.
Lamborghini designers used the 1966 P400 Miura and the original Miura as guidlines for creating the 2009 Miura. It was said that the P400 was the sexiest vehicle that Lamborghini ever created. Which means that we can expect great things from the newest Miura. Walter de Silva, cheif designer for Lamborghini, gave the new Miura a more modern look for the younger consumers.
A year after the world saw the Murcielago at Frankfurt, Lamborghini has taken the next logical step towards a roadster version. While the Murcielago Barchetta was still in a conceptual form, it was sent into production version at the Geneva Motor Show in 2002.
What sets the Barchetta apart from its coupe counterpart is a number of aggressive styling elements including wheels and a new engine cover. Lamborghini hints this new styling may reflect the future of their design language still headed by Luc Donkerwolke.
By 1987 Lamborghini was owned by Chrysler and they chose the Frankfurt Auto Show as a way to show the consumers the Portofino. The design was brilliant of Chrysler and built atop a lengthened Lamborghini Jalpa framework. Coggiola of Turin was commissioned to assemble the vehicle.
Decade after decade, generation after generation, Italys two finest sports car makers, Lamborghini and Ferrari, have battled it out for the title of the greatest supercar manufacturer on earth. While the two each have their heavy-hitters, Lamborghini recently expanded its lineup, launching the smaller, more affordable Gallardo, and the beautiful open-roofed Murcielago Speedster, further encroaching on Ferraris segments.
