The JLOC Isao Noritake team was given permission to compete in the 75th Le Mans 24 Hours. This means that 54 vehicles will be featured in the race. The Japanese team was forced to withdraw its entry on Thursday morning after a high-speed accident involving Marco Apicella during the first qualifying session destroyed the only Lamborghini Murcielago entered into the race, with no hope of the damaged car being repaired in time for the start.

Priest’s Wish To Ride In Lamborghini Is Granted

MurcielagoThere is still proof in the world that wishes still come true. And what better wish to have then to want to ride in a lamborghini. Rev. Joseph Elliott had this one wish and for his 83 birthday he was able to fulfill that wish.

Lamborghini To Attend Goodwood Festival

Lamborghini GallardoLamborghini is planning on attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year and will be displaying the lightweight V10 Gallardo Superleggera, the V12 Murcielago LP640 Coupe and Roadster, and the V10 Gallardo Coupe and Spyder.

Two cars will be included in Goodwood’s supercar class ‘going up the hill’: the Gallardo Superleggera will make its dynamic public debut at Goodwood, piloted by one of Lamborghini’s driving academy instructors Max Venturi. The Murciélago LP640 Coupé will be driven by young British driver Mike Conway, sponsored at Goodwood by Lloyds TSB Private Banking.

2007 Murcielago LP640

2007 Murciealgo LP640An updated 2007 model called the Murciélago LP640 will replace the 2006 Murciélago coupe. The “LP” stands for “longitudinale posteriore,” which is Italian for “longitudinal rear” and indicates the position of the vehicle’s massive V12 engine behind the cockpit.

The number 640 in the new name bestowed upon this car denotes the total hp rating of the tweaked V12 engine, up 60 hp from the outgoing Murciélago coupe’s V12 thanks to a bump in displacement from 6.2 liters to 6.5 liters. Lamborghini says the added power shaves 0.4 seconds from the zero-to-62 mph sprint, bringing it down to a scant 3.4 seconds.

Hamann Spices Up The King Of The Raging Bulls

Murcielago LP640Lamborghinis already stand out from the crowd, the Murcielago even more so than its little brother, the Gallardo. Those wishing to avoid confusion on the off chance that the valet at Dubai’s Burj Al-Arab parks yours next to another one of the exact same color, however, opt for that extra little dose of exclusivity that only the aftermarket can offer, and one that German tuner Hamann is more than happy to provide.
