R3 Series
The Lamborghini ranges for yard and open field applications, the R3 series represents a benchmark for tractors in the 70 to 90 CV class. The three models in the range R3.75, R3.85 and R3.95 Turbo are equipped with the new 4-cylinder EURO II compliant, liquid-cooled Series 1000 engines, which produce respectively maximum power output of 71, 81 and 91 CV, the latter two models being turbocharged.
The innovative features start with a new monobloc cylinder block and crankcase, which, thanks to the stiffening ribs and pushrod tubes integrated in the casting, affords an unprecedented degree of structural strength. Fuel and oil consumption figures are kept low by a new design that optimises the fluid dynamics of the combustion chambers.
The efficiency of the new engines is evident also in the ample torque rise, which reaches 32% on the R3.95. Maximum power is achieved at 2300 rpm, with constant maximum power maintained down to 2000 rpm with the electronic governor.
To offer a wide choice of speeds for field work, the new Lamborghini R3 series offers a variety of transmission options, ranging from a mechanical 5-speed synchro gearbox, to a MultiSpeed unit with three Powershift ratios and a change-on-the-go hydraulic shuttle operated by a lever mounted on the steering column.
On the version with 4 range gears and creeper unit, the number of available ratios is 60 forward + 60 reverse, providing ground speeds ranging from 0.34 Km/h to 40 km/h. The four-wheel drive, differential lock and PTO controls are all electrohydraulic. With a lifting capacity of 6200 kg (with the supplementary lifting cylinders), the rear linkage of the Lamborghini R3 series can be used with implements of all types.
The hydraulic pump that supplies the lift system and the auxiliary services has a capacity of 54 l/min. The controls for the spool valves, which consist of two cross-gate levers, are integrated in the console. For an even greater level of comfort and working precision there is also the option of the electronic lift control with radar. For front-mounted implements, the R3 series has a specially designed front support with integral front lift and PTO, so there are no mounting brackets to restrict manoeuvrability.
The new Lamborghini R3 tractors are available in both cabbed and platform versions. Thanks to the new bulkhead between the engine and the driving position and the Plexiglas baffles mounted to the front of the platform, noise is limited even on the open platform versions to below 86 dBA.
On the cabbed versions there is the option of a “high visibility” roof to increase upward visibility when working with a front loader. The styling is also brand new, with galvanised sheet steel hood, Telene side panels and a new front grille design.
