Zagato Raptor Concept To Be Auctioned Off
In 1996 the Lamborghini Zagato Raptor was debuted as a one-off concept car during the Geneva Auto Show. The mechanics for this supercar were taken straight from the Diablo VT with the exception of the V12 492 horsepower engine.
The design of the Zagato is similar to that of the Spyker C12 concept and has features that include the double-bubble roof (signature of carrozzeria) that tilts up with the doors. The Raptor was developed in conjunction with Swiss sledding champion Alain Wicki, and while public reception was hot, the car was never put into production.
All that remains is this one original show car, which is now going up for auction at Pebble Beach by the auctioneers at the Blackhawk Collection.
